What does it mean to play a song? Does strumming a few chords count? Or does it have to be note for note and the whole song?
We are very excited to announce that once again we will be conducting a summer school program here at Muso’s Stuff in January 2015. The previous three years were very successful and so we are advertising early this year in order to get the program organised in time.

I watch drummers all of the time and I see all levels of quality. My benchmark for whether they are a good drummer or not is two-fold, firstly, can they sustain a groove and secondly can they play the Rosanna shuffle? Ha I hear you say that’s a high benchmark. yes it is, don’t get me wrong, if a drummer can lay down a tidy groove, that’s usually good enough.
