The Rathlin features a solid Alaskan spruce top paired with walnut back and sides, producing the clarity, projection and tonal character that make a bouzouki stand out in an acoustic ensemble. Its natural satin finish allows the grain and character of the timber to show through, giving every instrument an understated, individual appearance.
A sapele neck bound with mahogany provides strength and a comfortable playing feel, while the Senna Siamea fingerboard and bridge complement the instrument's natural construction. The 35mm nut width and 670mm scale length offer a familiar feel for players moving between bouzouki, mandolin, guitar and other fretted folk instruments.
With 24 frets, a bone saddle, two strap end pins and quality construction from Ashbury's Vietnamese workshop, the Rathlin is equally at home practising at home, performing on stage or joining a traditional Irish music session. It is supplied with a protective gig bag, making it easier to transport your instrument to lessons, rehearsals and performances.
