Hizumitas is a faithful recreation of Wata's go-to distortion pedal, the Elk BM Sustainar, designed for musicians of all ages and genders with an interest in learning or playing a musical instrument at home or school. The Elk BMP is a Japanese variant of the well-known 'Triangle' BMP. During the development process, the EQD designers tried several vintage BMPs but realized that to capture the magic of Wata's pedal, they needed the original. Wata graciously sent her beloved pedal halfway around the world, and EQD discovered its unique qualities - heavy saturation with a gritty edge and massive bottom while maintaining a clear and dynamic tone with enough mids and top end to cut through any sludge. EQD has recreated all of those characteristics in the Hizumitas, making it an excellent option for anyone looking for a high-quality distortion pedal.
