The Vicente Sanchis Model 39 (1998) is a hand-crafted solid top classical guitar, made in Spain. Despite being made in 1998, it remains in good condition and only has one or two small dings. It also comes with a hard case for safe and easy transportation.
The Vícente Sanchís Badía guitar factory was originally established in 1915 by Ricardo Sanchís Nacher (1881–1960), a skilled luthier with strong connections to the renowned workshops of Manuel Ramírez and Domingo Esteso. By the time this particular guitar was built in 1998, the company was under the leadership of Vícente Sanchís, the founder’s son, and employed around 22 craftsmen.
Staying true to traditional construction techniques, the factory continued to produce instruments largely by hand. The Model 39 was one of their higher-end offerings, known for delivering excellent value. It features a cypress back and sides paired with a solid spruce top.
This guitar produces a rich, resonant tone with a quick, articulate attack. The cypress body contributes a brighter tonal character. Despite its age, the instrument is in very clean condition, showing only standard signs of use and a few minor dings.
